There are some excellent tile and grout cleaners and sealing products on the market today. It can be confusing to know exactly what are the best tile and grout cleaning products to purchase. We provide you with our recommended tile and grout cleaners and sealing products. These products can be ordered online or you can purchase them at some of the better tile, grout and stone supply stores.
Alkaline tile and grout cleaner.
The Klenzall alkaline tile, grout and stone cleaner will cut through the most difficult to remove dirt, grease and grime. It emulsifies the dirt and contaminates so that they can be extracted away with a shop vac or simply rinsed away with a mop bucket and water. Klenzall is the favorite alkaline cleaning product for many tile and grout cleaning and restoration professionals due to its ability to cut through even the deepest crud on the tiles and inside the grout lines. This alkaline cleaning product will not damage carpets and wood floors and is generally safe to use on all your tile, grout and stone surfaces.
It is safe to use but it should not stay in contact with your skin for prolonged periods of time. Always wear rubber gloves when scrubbing the tile and grout while using this product. It also helps to have a set of knee pads to wear while scrubbing the grout lines to ensure this cleaning product does not stay in contact with your knees and legs. If the product does come in contact with your skin just rinse it away with warm water and it is generally a safe alkaline tile and grout cleaning product. This 32 oz bottle will generally clean about 200 sq/ft of tile and grout.
Acidic tile and grout cleaner.
Stonetech Restore acidic cleaner uses a mild urea acid that provides excellent cleaning results and is generally safe to use. It is an excellent product for removing those stubborn stains in the grout lines that do not come clean with the alkaline cleaning product.
It is simple to use. Just mix it with water according to the manufactures instructions and apply it to the tile and grout. You should see it fizz on the grout lines as it reacts to the dirty cements in the grout. After you rinse away the cleaning supply off of the tile and grout you should see the grout lines come clean like never before.
It is safe to use but like any cleaning supply you should wear rubber gloves and do not allow prolonged exposure of the acidic cleaning product on your skin. If the acidic cleaner comes in contact with your skin just rinse it away with warm water. This 32 oz bottle will generally clean about 200 sq/ft of tile and grout.
PH neutral tile and grout cleaning product.
This stonetech pH neutral tile and grout cleaner is safe for cleaning all of your tile, grout and stone surfaces. It provides excellent cleaning results without breaking down the sealers and is an excellent cleaning product for daily maintenance cleaning of your tile, grout and stone surfaces.
It comes in a concentrate form so you just mix it with hot water and apply it with a mop or scrub pad. Scrub away any dried on stains and then just go back and rinse the floor with clean hot water. You can also mix 1/3 ounce of the cleaner with 32 oz of water in a spray bottle to have handy for wiping away any spills from your tile, grout and stone surfaces. It is an excellent pH neutral cleaning supply for your floors as well as for cleaning your marble and granite countertops and other stone surfaces.
It is safe to use and the pH neutral formula can also be used to clean all of your all of your water safe household surfaces. This 32 oz pH neutral cleaner concentrate uses only 2-4 oz of cleaner per gallon of water and will provide many floor cleanings.
Sealer for all of your tile, grout and stone surfaces.
The Aqua Mix Sealers Choice Gold has been a favorite tile, grout and stone sealer for tile and grout restoration professionals for many years. It is a water based, low VOC sealer using the latest Microbond sealant technology. It also performed the best off all the sealers tested in our grout sealer review.
This 32 oz sealer will seal approximately 200 sq/ft of 12 inch tiles with 1/8 inch grout joints. If you have larger tiles then you will need less sealer per sq ft and if you have smaller tiles or larger grout joints you will generally need 50% more sealer for the same square footage.
